Historic House or Building Plaque from the Henniker Historical Society

The Henniker Historical Society has created a Historic House Plaque Program, providing owners with an opportunity to designate the age of their historic home with pride, knowledge, and to serve as conscious custodians of their home’s heritage. The goal of the Historic House Plaque program is to encourage an appreciation of older properties and to allow passersby a glimpse into the history of a home, property and Henniker neighborhood. We believe that a Historic House Plaque enhances the appearance of an older home, while promoting community awareness of Henniker’s rich history.

The plaque is 12” wide x 9” high, made from weather resistant material which is individually machined. Four stainless steel screws are including with predrilled holes for mounting. The white background is complemented with black lettering.  Each custom-made plaque shows the year of construction with a "c" for circa.  The letters “HHS” in the lower right corner, indicating authentication by the Henniker Historical Society.

Mount 3-5 feet above the sill plate and within 2 feet of the corner of the building. HHS is not responsible for mounting the plaque.
